When I have busy weeks, I do not always have time to style my natural hair, so I just wear my hair in large twists or braids. Last week was super busy for me…..I had work, I had business meetings which brought some important news I will be sharing with you soon, I had my niece’s birthday…..I barely had any me time, so my hair was in large braids pinned back. More on that another time.
With the arrival of the weekend, I was ready to chill for a while and try a new hair style.
The first two things I fished out of my accessory box a pearl multi-bracelet and a skull ring. To me, pearls = class & sweetness, and skulls = rebellion & naughtiness.
It wasn’t very easy building a look that combined this naughty & nice theme and it was even harder finding a new hairstyle that went with the look, however, I think the look below worked well, don’t you think?
The leather boots, skinny jeans and leopard-print fur cape bring out the naughty side and the peach-coloured lace trimmed blouse, peach sunglasses, pearl earrings & bracelet bring out the nice side.
For this look, I tried a new hairstyle that my hubby called natural punk – whatever that is. Undoing my large braids, and finger combing out to deconstruct the curl definition a little, I pulled the back section of the braids up & out, securing with a headband – kinda like a high puff. The front section was let loose. My hair was styled using products my own product line – details below.
Perhaps I should call this: Naughty, But Nice, With a Little Bit of Punk!
